Is metaphor intellect or wisdom? Symbols depict stories in brief and recall the memory and intellect to decode the symbols to understand the meaning it is used for. Literature has defined many ornamental and grammatical metaphors, which might have derivatives of the same and classified in many ways over the period of time. History also recorded many stories where, in a subtle way, the message has been conveyed. Such stories have been deciphered by many speakers to interpret in many different ways and contexts to convey various forms of messages. History, along with civilizations, recorded many visual symbols which can be associated with certain set of values and they are popular in its way to convey a set of message. Flags and religious symbols are popular known examples of this category. Sayings or मुहावरा also narrate metaphors, which are coded stories to be quoted appropriately at some part of narration. Icons on computers are also widely used metaphors to convey the meaning of each icon. Many symbols keep generated to convey messages in a particular way. Emojis are the new generation of metaphors identified and commonly used by youngsters. Broadly speaking, musical notes , Braille languages and signed languages are codes and still to be considered metaphors to convey specific meaning when a person or group of people decode. When consciousness is to be expanded, we can definitely say languages are nothing but codes and, in a way, metaphor to communicate in different ways of phonetics and writings. All things are coded, and the meaning of these codes is different as it is unveiled based on what? Intellect or wisdom? Or both? During World War, when military codes were communicated, Alan Turing introduced the machine to decode messages using mathematics and probability. The world started getting new codes via computer languages, starting with binary language where the message is written using 0 and 1. These computer languages are nothing but scientific metaphors to convey specific meaning. Widely introspection unveils that what we see and perceive is coded, and we decode them based on a combination of intellect and wisdom and/or both. Many times, I ask why Academy Awards has very few films in the comedy genre, and the answer is quite simple. Comedy is the only genre of metaphor which has the context of time and space. It means you can decode comedy codes if you are relevant to time and space (includes language, culture, and events), Hence we can find hardly any comedy films ( with dialogues ) has taken a space in classic films. Chaplin movies are without dialogues and had conveyed simple universal principles in visual way considered to be better communicated codes where language barrier was not found. It may be possible to decode body language if you have the art to decipher such codes. Astrology and many other science also based on many codes and languages which need special information and knowledge to understand and so as to decipher. Does the art to decode depend on intellect or wisdom or both? are humans decoding machine ?
